An NCO club in southern France, c 1945
My father-in-law wasn’t drafted until 1943, so he stayed in Europe for a period after V-E day. He ran an NCO club at a town in southern France.
I’m posting this photo, which he sent home to his wife in Detroit, largely for what it says on the back, neatly typed by my father-in-law. “Here are the AG ‘girls’. They’re all a little queer, but lovely fellows, really.”
My father-in-law would not have understood the fuss over repealing DADT.
